Pastor Smoaks earned her Associate of Science Degree in Business Fundamentals as well as her Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration from University of Phoenix. Pastor Smoaks has a passion to serve and has been the catalyst working with diverse communities in her role as Director of Community Partnerships for St. Mary's Dining Room and Program Manager for Amelia Adams Whole Life Center in Stockton, CA.

Coleen Smoaks is the founder and Executive Director of Bags of Hope Stockton Foundation, a non-profit meeting the needs of any menstruating person with sanity supplies, resources and education. She felt empowered to start her ministry in response to her calling to express her gift of healing to reach into the lives of others. Pastor Smoaks thrives on educating families on health and wellness and is a brilliant strategist.
Coleen has worked diligently to cultivate the success of her small business Coleen's Cupcakery where she brings her creative artistry to life by providing unique desserts.
Coleen began writing as a young child. She spent endless summers in her negiboorhood library. She always felt that there was a lack of reading material that accurately reflected her culture and heritage as an African American Christian woman. She felt empowered to publish her own work and has since independently published over 80 titles that include; "The Praise in Me" book series, "Momma Taught me to Pray" and "My Melanin is Magical" to name a few.
